I originally saw the DropLit on another website. My immediate thought was "oh. Another "as seen on TV" special..." I ordered one as a Christmas gift. It arrived quicky even though it was 2 days before the holiday. The first time she used it, I was blown away! I couldn't believe how bright it was! It's rainy season now and this umbrella has been a lifesaver, especially when I have been going out at night, parking my car and walking through some dark areas to the restaurant in pouring rain. As far as umbrellas go, this is one of the sturdiest I've come across. So much so, I trust it with the kids who have wrecked a number of them over the years. I bought it with the intention of safety, since the LED would make the kids more visible. However, I discovered some other practical uses the other night when I had to grill some steaks in the backyard just as the skies opened up (as is always my luck). Stayed dry and was able to see what I was doing to get that perfect sear.

It finally rained yesterday in the Bay Area and I was finally able to use the DropLit Umbrella. The umbrella felt really sturdy while using it. The light feature is awesome as well and you have the option of turning it on or off depending on the time of day that are using it. Would definitely recommend.
