Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between canopy arc and canopy diameter?
The canopy arc of an umbrella is the length measuring across the top or dome of an open umbrella. This measurement accounts for the curvature of the umbrella.
The canopy diameter is the width of an open umbrella, measuring from one end directly across to its opposite end. This does not factor in the dome curvature. Consumers should consider this measurement when deciding how well an umbrella will cover them.
Is the Droplit LED umbrella waterproof?
The Droplit LED umbrella is water resistant. The battery casing of the umbrella can repel and withstand water from normal use. It is not waterproof. In the event you flood or submerge the battery casing completely underwater, you should open the casing, remove the batteries and let the casing completely dry out.
I want to gift a Droplit umbrella. Can I have it sent directly to them?
Yes we can send your gift directly to that lucky person.
Why do you not offer free shipping?
Droplit umbrellas are non-collapsible, fixed length umbrellas. It's one of the factors behind their durability and sturdiness. The downside is we have to ship our umbrellas in large boxes. USPS, UPS, Fedex and other shipping companies all love to charge additional fees and surcharges because of this. By offering flat rate shipping, we are able to simplify the process for customers while shielding them from all the additional fees and surcharges.
Can I purchase multiple umbrellas on one order and have you ship them to multiple locations?
Unfortunately, due to a variety of reasons, we can not do this. Most importantly, our system only assigns one shipment tracking code to an order. By splitting shipments, we would not be able to efficiently track every parcel within that order.
Having split shipments would also eliminate our ability to offer free shipping promotions on orders over $100 as the shipping costs are significant.
